The mission. The requirements.

How the video link supports reconnaissance in obstructed environments.

  1. Real-time reconnaissance

The live camera view is the operator's picture of the target area. The video link carries that image from the aircraft to the ground station while the flight is in progress.

  2. Signals through obstruction

Buildings, alleys and tree cover block the path between the aircraft and the ground. The transmitter is selected for the frequency, power and channel options the operating area requires.

  3. Airframe and equipment

A 10-inch FPV platform carries the transmitter, camera payload and antennas. Supply voltage, mounting space and cooling are matched to the airframe and flight profile.

From the aircraft to the operator.

The camera supplies the view; the transmitter carries its video to the ground receiver and display.

  1. Camera

    Video input
  2. Video transmitter (VTX)

    Wireless link
  3. Video receiver (VRX)

    Video output
  4. Display

Interfaces and channel frequencies depend on the selected models. Confirm the camera output, transmitter input and receiver configuration before connection.

How the mission runs.

The sequence described in the supplying case, from planning to withdrawal.

  1. Mission planning

The route is planned from the terrain of the target area, using a low-altitude approach that avoids observation posts and areas of electronic interference.

  2. Fast entry

The aircraft passes through building windows, alleys and gaps in the tree line at speed. The 7.2GHz link carries the video back through this obstructed environment.

  3. Observation and marking

The operator watches the target area on the ground monitor and marks suspected positions as they appear.

  4. Channel switching under interference

When local interference appears, the operator switches to a spare channel. The video link is restored and the mission continues.

  5. Target indication

Once a position is confirmed, the coordinates are passed back over the link to guide the units that follow.

  6. Withdrawal

The aircraft leaves along a planned low-altitude route with the link maintained. The supplying case reports a maximum distance of 20km.

Application questions.

Key details about the video link.

Which transmitter is featured in this application?

The AL7210 7.2G 10W analog video transmitter, listed with 64 channels across 6110–7210 MHz and up to 10 W output. Its product page carries the published specifications.

How does the 7.2GHz link deal with interference?

The supplying case describes switching to a spare channel when local interference appears, so the video link can be restored without ending the flight. Results depend on the site and the equipment in use.

What transmission distance is reported?

The supplying case reports a maximum transmission distance of 20km in complex urban and mountain terrain. Distance depends on the antenna setup, terrain and channel conditions.
